Employee Testimonials

Maggie DeBruin, Digital Marketing Manager (ASU Grad 2011)
Working at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale opens the door to unique opportunities and endless possibilities. I started in a part-time position, and after graduating from ASU, I became a full-time Education Coordinator, using my degree in elementary education to support kids with their academics outside of school. I was then promoted to Youth Development Supervisor, overseeing the entire program at a branch and managing a team of 10-20 people, which helped me develop essential management skills. Now, as Digital Marketing Manager, I get to use my creative skills and experience to share the story of what makes our Clubs so special. You never know what door will open next when you work at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale!”

Beethoven Felix, Senior Director of Teen Services & Workforce Development (ASU Grad, 2003)
“I began volunteering at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale in 1999 while I was a student at ASU. Encouraged by my brothers who worked there, I assisted with events, tutored members, and helped coach baseball. After graduating, I continued volunteering and was eventually asked to apply for a position working with teens and I accepted without hesitation. Being part of this life-changing organization has allowed me to have an impact on many young people and more importantly, learn from them. Witnessing members grow into amazing young adults has made my years here worthwhile. I’m honored to serve as a mentor and will continue to advocate for teens, especially when they need us the most.”
