Additional criteria

  • Must be a first-generation college student, which is defined as: At the start of their bachelor degree, students whose primary parent(s) / guardian(s) have not earned a four-year degree in the United States, and/or those who have experienced the foster care system or identify as an emancipated youth.
  • Essay (500-750 words): How are the experiences from your personal and professional life helping you to develop skills and networks for your future career? (Include any leadership experiences, campus/community involvement, work experience, or academics, etc.)
  • Unofficial Transcripts
  • Current Professional Resume
  • Professional Cover Letter to the scholarship committee addressing the following:
    – Financial need
    – Career goals
    – How this scholarship will help you achieve those goals
