Meet the Team

Naomi Tom

Naomi Tom is the Program Director for the Tohono O’odham portion of the INVEST grant. A citizen of the Tohono O’odham Nation from the Chukut Kuk District, Naomi is passionate about supporting students and community members through college and career readiness services.

With over a decade of experience in higher education, Naomi has worked in student services, administration, and teaching, creating programs that expand access and opportunity. Through her work with INVEST, she leads efforts to help students stay in school, return to education, and prepare for college or career pathways. She collaborates closely with schools, partners, and communities to provide meaningful workshops, events, and resources that meet people where they are.

Naomi helps guide the overall direction of the program while also working one-on-one with students and families as they explore options, build plans, and take the next steps toward their goals. Her work is focused on creating pathways to higher education, workforce development, and long-term success for Tohono O’odham students and communities.

La’Trell Hendrickson

La’Trell Hendrickson is the College and Career Readiness Coordinator for the Tohono O’odham Nation portion of the INVEST Team. In this role, he supports program facilitation, provides administrative coordination, and guides students in exploring postsecondary pathways, building career skills, and preparing for life beyond high school.

La’Trell is an enrolled member of the Northern Cheyenne Nation of Montana. Since graduating from Montana State University in 2022, he has worked in higher education in a variety of mentorship roles. His work is grounded in a strong commitment to student success and expanding access to college and career opportunities.

La’Trell enjoys building meaningful relationships with students and enjoys connecting through conversation. He encourages students to reach out and engage as they navigate their educational and career journeys.
