Welcome to the Sun Devil Shadow Program
This program provides students with immersive career exploration experiences, allowing them to shadow professionals, gain insights into industry practices, and explore career pathways.

How it works
1. Submit Your Interest
Fill out the Employer Engagement Form below and select “Site Visits/Job Shadow.” A staff member will contact you shortly to coordinate your job shadow experience.
2. Connect with Students
We will promote your opportunity via Handshake and connect you with students who register.
3. Shadowing Begins
Host your student(s) at your organization and provide them with an engaging, first-hand career experience.
Fall 2025 Shadowing Dates
Hosts will be able to host students for Shadowing between September 2nd and November 26th

Resources
- Job Shadowing is where students get to “shadow” an employee at a company/organization to learn more about their career field and see what a “day-in-the-life” is truly like at their workplace.
- Example activities that could occur during a shadowing experience:
- Introduction of host organization (mission, values, goals, history, etc.)
- Office/Site tour
- Sit-in on meetings or client calls
- 1-1/group Q&A sessions with employees
- Observations of daily tasks/activities
- Lunch/casual networking
- Career/opening opportunities discussion
