Seeking to fill an Electrical and / or Instrumentation and Controls Intern position with student pursuing power systems or controls education. Will be required to Interface with design team and project managers for the development of Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls design packages.
Minimum 16 hours a week required during the school year, opportunity for full time work during school breaks. We provide technical support to a wide variety of engineering projects, which range from day-to-day municipal and industrial engineering in all areas related to plant operation and safety.
Previous work experience required, does not have to be technical experience, but retail and other similar fields are acceptable.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Determine, select, and specify electrical equipment, instrumentation and controls required to monitor, operate and control mechanical, process, and electrical systems.
· Develop Power System Studies
· Produce logic diagrams, control narratives (sequence of operations) and wiring diagrams.
· PLC/HMI Architecture Design including Ethernet, ControlNet and Remote I/O.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Working towards completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
