The purpose of this organization is to provide a forum in which graduate students within the English department can express their concerns and opinions; build a strong network of students, faculty, and staff in the English department. GSEA also sponsors formal and informal gatherings and, faculty presentations, and workshops where graduate students meet and interact with faculty and other professionals (e.g., publishers, administrators). In addition, the GSEA supports graduate students in advancing research within the department, ensuring diversity and inclusion on campus.
GSEA has recurring meetings every first Friday of each month. The tentative meeting dates for Fall 2024 are: 1) August 09 (Friday); 2) August 23 (GSEA meet & greet).
