Women In Animation at ASU

Women In Animation at ASU’s mission is to provide opportunities and resources to students that intend to pursue a career in animation and advocate for equal gender hiring practices within the animation industry. We envision a world where women share equally in the creation, production and rewards of animation. Thus, WIA at ASU will prepare resources for students to understand gender inequality and nurture a community of peers in solidarity with the movement for gender equity within the animation industry. WIA will prepare students to network effectively and to take on leadership roles where they present themselves in order to directly address the disparity. With WIA at ASU students will begin to integrate in their career path before graduation and be equipped with skills, tools, and partnerships that will last through the life of their career.
