YP CoNext at ASU
YP CoNext at ASU is a mentoring program originated from the Greater Phoenix Urban League Young Professionals (YP). In 2020, Arizona State University joined in collaboration as YP’s first university pilot. Together they seek to build intentional relationships between college students and young Black professionals. This program provides opportunities for personal growth, community connections, and psychosocial development–that enhances participants’ esteem and interpersonal skills–through mentoring partnerships that promote the transition from student to young Black professional. Mentors and program staff also offer on-going and special programming that highlight strategic leadership development, academic excellence, and career development.
Our Mission: To build a bridge between local college students and the Greater Phoenix Urban League Young Professionals (YP) to foster personal and professional development, around leadership, life skills and community service to aid in the transition from college students to high performing young professionals.
